Course Enrolment and Course Intentions
Spring/Summer Course Enrolment
The majority of undergraduate students enrol in spring/summer term courses through the Chang School of Continuing Education.
Engineering and science students may be eligible to enrol into select program courses through the summer transition programs:
Enrolment deadlines for select undergraduate courses (i.e. non-Chang School and non-spring/summer transition courses) are confirmed by the full refund deadline on the Spring/Summer 2025 Undergraduate Class Sessions Course Drop Dates table, as well as in the Undergraduate Calendar Significant Dates.
Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 Course Intentions
The course intentions period for fall 2025 and winter 2026 terms is:
Participation in course intentions is mandatory for all undergraduate students in full-time programs. Details are available on the Course Intentions page.
A message reminding students to participate in course intentions will appear to full-time undergraduate and law students on the my.torontomu.ca landing page between March 6 and March 12. Additionally, the RO will send the following emails to full-time program undergraduate students:
Academic departments are encouraged to promote course intentions to their students through email communications, advising sessions, social media, etc.
The course intention adjustment period is from May 7 to 9, allowing students to adjust their course intentions after receiving their winter 2025 term results and enrolling in spring/summer term courses, where applicable.
Students who decide not to return to TMU for the upcoming school year after participating in course intentions should be aware that it is their responsibility to withdraw from their courses or program by the appropriate deadline date. Students who do not withdraw will be scheduled into their fall term courses in late July and winter term courses in November, and may face academic and financial consequences as a result of these enrolments.

School of Medicine Approved for OSAP
The TMU School of Medicine has been approved for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)! Beginning in the 2025 - 2026 academic year, students can apply for OSAP to help finance their education. This is an important step for the new medical school -- gaining OSAP eligibility will make professional education more accessible for students. Please feel free to share this great news widely!
OSAP is a government financial aid program that helps students pay for post-secondary education. OSAP offers funding through loans (money students need to repay) and grants (money students typically don't need to repay). When students apply for OSAP, they are automatically considered for both loan and grant funding. Full-time and part-time OSAP students have the option to decline the loan portion; however, declining the loan portion does not increase the grant portion. Should a student decline the loan portion and later decide they wish to receive it, they are able to do so (provided it is within the study period and they are still eligible).
The 2025/26 OSAP application is not available yet. It is expected to launch in spring (likely May or June). For updates and the upcoming application, check the OSAP website.
