RO Updates

Course Scheduling

If you are involved in course scheduling, check out the scheduling deadlines.

Dean’s List Award

The Dean’s List award for the winter 2025 term was applied to eligible students’ records the week of May 20.

The Dean’s List Special Consideration (RO) Google Form has been shared with faculty contacts and is still accepting submissions for students who are not graduating in June 2025. The deadline to submit submissions for students graduating in June was May 29. For details, please review the Dean’s List Award - Overview.

Verification of Enrolment, New Students

Verification of Enrolment (VOE) letters are now available to new undergraduate and law students admitted for fall 2025. These letters are commonly used to confirm students’ enrolments with banks and financial institutions in order to access RESP funds.

After they have accepted their offer of admission, applicants can request their Verification of Enrolment letter via Request a Letter on MyServiceHub. Letters will not be released until the applicant has cleared their conditions. Generally, letters are released within two business days of an applicant's admit status being updated on MyServiceHub.

Advise new students to request their letters before July 18. After this date, applicants lose access to the new student Verification of Enrolment letter request on MyServiceHub until after matriculation, and would then need to request a current student Proof of Enrolment (POE) letter starting in mid-August.

Proof of Enrolment, Current Students

Proof of Enrolment (POE) letters are now available for fall 2025 and winter 2026 terms for current students who have completed their course intentions. Proof of Enrolment letters confirm the enrolment status based on course enrolments/intentions. In order for the letter to confirm a full-time enrolment status, students must be enrolled in at least 4 billing units (80% course load) for the term.

New students should be advised to request a Verification of Enrolment letter by July 18 as outlined above. They will gain access to the Proof of Enrolment letter in late July; however, the letter may not reflect a full-time course load until they have selected their fall term courses and winter term course intentions in mid-August.

Webinars for New Students

The ServiceHub, in collaboration with International Student Enrolment, Education & Inclusion (ISEEI), is planning webinars for newly admitted students this summer.  These webinars are a great opportunity for new students to learn about how to prepare for fall -- topics include enrolment, finances and campus resources.

  • New to TMU: International student webinar

    • 9 a.m. EST on Tuesday, June 24

  • New to TMU: Canadian student webinar

    • Tuesday, July 15 at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. EST

    • Thursday, July 17 at 12 p.m. EST

Details will be emailed to new students and a registration link added to the Future Student Events page in June.

Are you planning pre-orientation or orientation sessions for your program?

Let the ServiceHub know about pre-orientation or orientation sessions you are planning, so their team can promote your sessions when talking to students. Please email details to the Interim Client Services Manager, Imran Ali, imran.a.ali@torontomu.ca.

OSAP Implications of Course and Program Changes

Advisors are reminded to encourage students to connect with the Student Financial Assistance office via the ServiceHub before making any academic changes -- including dropping courses, withdrawing or switching programs. These changes can affect a student’s OSAP eligibility, as the program requires students to maintain a minimum course load and demonstrate satisfactory academic progress.

If your program is considering curriculum updates or structural changes (such as course delivery format or offerings), please consult with the Student Financial Assistance team early to assess potential OSAP impacts. Even well-meaning academic adjustments can unintentionally lead to funding loss or OSAP restrictions.

To support students in maintaining both academic and financial stability, feel free to reach out with any questions. Staff can find their contacts in the RO Snapshot and students can contact the ServiceHub.

OSAP Application Launch for 2025/26

The full-time OSAP application for 2025/2026 is available on the OSAP website. Returning and incoming students are encouraged to apply and submit their application early to ensure it is processed before the fall semester begins. For fast and secure processing, student must upload all required documents directly to their online OSAP portal. Students may not mail or drop off physical copies of paperwork.

The 2025/26 part-time OSAP application is expected to launch in late June/early July on the OSAP website.
