Course Enrolment for Fall 2025
In early August, returning students who participated in course intentions will be scheduled into their fall 2025 term courses. Newly admitted full-time program students will be scheduled into their required fall term courses and loaded into their required winter term course intentions.
While University Scheduling makes every effort to load course intention selections into scheduled classes, there are occasions where a course intention selection cannot be accommodated. Learn reasons why course intentions did not result in course enrolment.
Program administrators will have access to enrol students for the fall 2025 term starting August 6. Students will be able to adjust their enrolments during the course enrolment period until September 12. For all priority and open enrolment dates, please visit Course Enrolment.
Letters and Transcripts
The documents below are common requests at this time of year. For more information on official documents and letters available to TMU applicants, students and alumni, visit Documents and Letters.
Students requesting Eligibility to Graduate, Qualification Evaluation Council of Ontario (QECO) or Transfer Credit Equivalency letters can now send their electronic letter directly to a third-party email address.
Proof of Enrolment Letters
Proof of Enrolment letters are now available for the fall 2025 and winter 2026 terms for current continuing education, undergraduate and law students who have completed their course intentions. Proof of Enrolment letters confirm if students are enrolled full-time and are often used to access RESP funds. For the letter to confirm full-time enrolment status, students must be enrolled in at least four billing units (80% course load) for the term. New students should apply for a Verification of Enrolment letter (more below). Learn more about Proof of Enrolment Letters.
Verification of Enrolment Letters
New students who have an RESP may require verification of enrolment letters to access their funds. Undergraduate students admitted for fall 2025 must request their letter by Friday, July 18 and Law school students must request their letter by Friday, July 11.
If new students miss the deadline to apply for a Verification of Enrolment Letter, they are able to request a Proof of Enrolment letter, starting in mid-August, after they have completed their course enrolments. Learn more about Verification of Enrollment Letters for new students.
OSAP
Now is the time for students to submit their 2025/26 OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) applications and upload any required documentation outlined on their OSAP application via the OSAP Portal. Applications and document submissions must be completed before OSAP Important Dates and Deadlines.
For confidentiality and document security purposes, all students must use the portal -- we do not accept documents submitted by mail, email, or in person. To ensure funding is received without delay, students must complete their course enrolments for fall and winter term course intentions during the enrolment period in August and September. For assistance, contact the ServiceHub.
Student Fees
Tuition fee details, including charts for all programs and academic years are available on the Tuition and Fees.
Curriculum Advising - Graduation Information and Dates
Applications are now open for Fall 2025 graduation. Once students have enrolled in or applied for credit in their program's final courses, they must apply for graduation. By applying to graduate, the student is notifying the university they expect to complete their program and are ready to graduate. All students must apply to graduate even if they do not plan to attend the Convocation ceremony.
Do not wait for the final grades to be posted! The application must be submitted well in advance of the convocation ceremony and within the specified deadlines.
Students in the Yeates School of Graduate and Postgraduate Studies do not need to wait to defend their Master's Major Research Paper (MRP), Master's Thesis or Doctoral Dissertation. If there is a chance they are going to be eligible, they should apply. If it turns out they are not eligible by the final date to clear graduation requirements, they must apply again for the next convocation.

Admissions Update
Most of the incoming class for fall 2025 have accepted their offers of admission and paid their tuition deposits. Admissions is continuing to confirm applicants have met the conditions stated in their offers, with the majority of high school applicants having their admission requirements cleared in July, after their final grades are received.
Cancellations and Withdrawals
Newly admitted students who decide not to attend TMU must follow proper procedures to cancel an offer of admission and withdraw. Failing to follow these procedures could result in them being academically and financially responsible for any course enrolments that may be on their record. Once classes have begun, new students must follow the course drops and program withdrawal procedures for current students and meet the course drop deadlines. Please advise students of the importance of following proper procedures and to contact the ServiceHub for support.
Deferral of Admission
Information on how to defer fall 2025 admission to fall 2026 is now available. Students who submit a deferral request form by July 15 will receive a decision by July 30. If a student misses the deadline to accept their offer and still wishes to request a deferral, they can email admissions at admissiondeferral@torontomu.ca. Learn more about deferral of admission.
Communications
New students will receive a communication from the ServiceHub mid-June highlighting the New Students website and inviting them to attend an online New Student Information Session.
Email Template for Incoming Students
Departments and advising staff are welcome to use this optional, customizable email template to welcome incoming students. Staff can contact advisingnetwork@torontomu.ca or connect with a colleague for access.
Information Sessions
The ServiceHub, in collaboration with International Student Enrolment, Education & Inclusion (ISEEI), is planning webinars for newly admitted students this summer. These webinars are a great opportunity for new students to learn about how to prepare for fall. Topics include enrolment, finances and campus resources.
Students can register on the Future Student Events page.
Matriculation
Matriculation is the process where the records of confirmed applicants in MyServiceHub are moved over to the records side of the system. For students admitted for fall 2025, matriculation begins on the following dates:
-
Law: July 12
-
Undergraduate: July 21
-
Medicine: August 5
-
Graduate: August 15
Matriculation gives new students full access to MyServiceHub, including access to Advisement Reports, enrolment and student fees features. Matriculated students also get access to Google Workspace and will be prompted to create their TMU email the first time they log into my.torontomu.ca. For additional term dates, please refer to the RSS Shared Dates.
OneCard
Students should apply for their OneCard early so the cards are ready when they arrive on campus in the fall. Digital OneCards can be used for door access and purchasing. All undergraduate, graduate and law students still need to get a physical OneCard for identification during exams and other assessments. Check out more information about the OneCard.
Program Transfers Report
The Program Transfers Self-Service Report is a valuable tool for identifying and supporting undergraduate transfer students. It provides key information about matriculated students, such as student name and email, program, admit term, year level, transfer credits granted and course enrolments.
This report may be used to:
-
Identify transfer and direct entry students by program, plan and admit term.
-
Create contact lists for targeted outreach to transfer students.
-
Identify the academic level of newly admitted transfer students.
-
Flag students enrolled in courses for which they have already received transfer credit.
For more information, visit the Self-Service - Program Transfers tab on the Registrarial Support Services (RSS) - UGRD Landing Page and the Self-Service Program Transfers How to Guide.
Transfer Credits
Incoming students with previous post-secondary studies should submit their transfer credit applications now, and follow up by submitting course outlines, if required, as soon as possible. Current or previous TMU students need to only apply for transfer credits for courses from other institutions -- they don’t need to apply for credit for previously completed TMU courses, including Chang School courses.
The deadline to apply for transfer credits and receive the results before the start of the fall term is July 30. Transfer credit applications will be accepted after the deadline; however, students may not receive results before the start of fall semester. Check out Transfer Credits.
