August means summer is in full swing and back-to-school is around the corner!


Check out the information below for updates and upcoming dates.


RO Updates

Incomplete Grades

Winter 2025 INC grades that have not been resolved and/or revised by the 3-month deadline for completion will lapse to an F grade on August 1 for undergraduate, Law and Chang School classes, and on August 19 for graduate classes.


Tuition and Fees

For information on tuition and fees, check out Current Student Tuition and Fees.


Domestic and International Fee Rates

Three fee rate categories apply to TMU students. Fees rates are confirmed on Undergraduate Tuition and Fees, and information on updating or appealing rates can be found on Fee Rates.


Students can confirm their fees on their MyServiceHub account:

  • Domestic Ontario fee rate appear as “Tuition UGrad”

  • Domestic Out-of-Province fee rate appear as “Tuition UGrad OOP”

  • International fee rate appear as “Tuition UGrad Foreign”

Account Holds

Account holds can be applied to a student’s MyServiceHub account for a variety of reasons, and impacts can vary depending on the type of account hold. For an overview of hold types, visit the Account Holds website.


Significant Dates 2025

Tuesday, August 5

Fall 2025 student schedules available in MyServiceHub by end of day.

Wednesday, August 6

First day for staff access to adjust students’ fall 2025 classes.

Thursday, August 7

Fall 2025 course enrolment period begins with 1st year priority enrolment appointments.

Friday, August 15

Last day to apply to graduate for fall 2025 with a $50 late fee.

August 18 - September 12

Open enrolment period for fall 2025.

Monday, August 18, 12 p.m.

Undergraduate, graduate, Law and Chang School Spring/Summer 2025 grades are due by noon via MyServiceHub.

Monday, August 18, 12:15 p.m.

Undergraduate, graduate, Law and Chang School Spring/Summer 2025 grades are posted to MyServiceHub.

Tuesday, August 19, 10 a.m.

Academic Continuance (standing) information/reports available for program departments.

Tuesday, August 19, 2 p.m.

Academic departments return updated Academic Continuance material to Registrarial Support Services for updating.

Thursday, August 21, 8 a.m.

Spring/summer 2025 official grades and academic standing available to students on MyServiceHub.

Thursday, August 21

Registrarial Support Services drops all selected and/or enrolled program courses for the fall 2025 and winter 2026 terms (including Chang School courses) for students assigned Required To Withdraw, Standing Variation Withdrawal or Permanent Program Withdrawal standing, issues email notices to Probationary, RTW, SVW, and PPW students, and performs requisite check process.

Monday, August 25

AwardSpring opens to students for 2025-26. All students (new and returning) must log in to activate their profile for the new academic year.

A Guide to Grading

Join Registrarial Support Services to learn more about handling grading responsibilities in alignment with TMU’s policies.This introduction and refresher session is for new and current faculty/contract lecturers and academic administrators involved in grading and grade revisions. Viewing a student’s academic history is also helpful to review past courses and grades. To view a student’s academic history, navigate to the  Academics tab and click on the academic history, click Generate, then View.  Check out the Academic History Admin View Job Aid.

New Students

Term Start-up Student Emails


The ServiceHub will send three fall term start-up emails:

  • Fall Term Course Enrolment - July 29, 2025

  • Key Financial Updates - August 19, 2025

  • Kick Off the School Year Strong - September 2, 2025

The email will share key updates ahead of the fall course enrolment period and term start-up. A copy of the email will be posted on the ServiceHub news page. Graduate and Law students will also receive targeted communications.

The ServiceHub hosted New Students Webinars in June and July. All registrants have been sent a link to the recording:

Other News Around Campus

Digital OneCards - Students Still Need a Physical Card

Digital OneCards are used for building and door access and on-campus purchasing, if students have a cell phone. All undergraduate, graduate, and Law students will still be required to pick up a physical OneCard for identification during exams and other assessments. Students without cell phones will continue using a physical card.


Incoming students have received communications encouraging them to apply for their student cards; after matriculation, they will receive information on how to activate their Digital OneCard. Check out more information about the OneCard.

Advising Contacts Website: Send updates for the academic program advising contacts website to advisingnetwork@torontomu.ca.


TMU Directory: Each department has designated staff (usually an administrator or departmental assistant) who can make changes to the TMU directory, including the green and white pages.


Review the July issue of the newsletter for information about:
